   I know another Chinese word “也.” Could anyone tell me the differences between “再” and “也?”

   “再” means “again,” while “也” means “also.” You can say “他再一次迟到了.” He is late again. But you can not say “他也一次迟到了.” You’d better say “他也迟到了.” He is also late. You can see that the two sentences have different meanings.
