Panameral, 保时捷 (bǎoshíjié) Porsche’s first four-door GT sports car, was featured at both the 2009 Shanghai Auto Show and 广州汽车展 (Guǎngzhōu Qìchēzhǎn) 2009 Guangzhou Motor Show. This means that the four-door Porsche was officially launched in the China market. The car was described as 奢华 (shēhuá ) luxurious, 英俊 (yīngjùn) handsome, and sporty, and was attracting numerous car lovers in China. Porsche (China) Motors Ltd. CEO Parham Mu, said：“ 中国豪华车市场潜力很大，保时捷 panamera 的推出，有助于拓展保时捷 在中国的客户群。（Zhōnɡ ɡuó háo huá chē shì chǎnɡ qián lì hěn dà, bǎo shí jié panamera de tuī chū, yǒu zhù yú tuò zhǎn bǎo shí jié zài zhōnɡ ɡuó de kè hù qún.）The Chinese luxury car market has great potential. The introduction of the Porsche Panameral will help expand Porsche’s customer base in China.”Last year, Porsche’ s 供不应求(gōngbùyìngqiú) supply was unable to meet the demand in China.

The character “供 (gōng)” means to supply; “不 (bù)” means not; “应 (yìng)” means to comply with, and “求 (qiú)” means demand.
